Ahmazing Company Information

Ahmazing was started in 1999 by Eric Horning with a goal of incorporating several principles in the business. The principles that guide the everyday operations of Ahmazing are llisted below:

• To build furniture that is unique, interesting, and built to last many generations

• To run a company in a way that has a negligible impact on the environment

  • Wood from sustainable sources is used whenever possible

  • Waste is recycled to the greatest extent possible

  • Finishes are selected which are low in volatile organic compounds

• To help people to realize their vision for the kinds of furniture they want in their homes

• To give people good value for the money they invest in furniture

Ahmazing has its administrative office in Livermore, California with the shop nearby.

Most of the items built by Ahmazing have been created specifically for a custom situation. Ideas are discussed with clients and sketches or models are developed until a specific look is agreed. Part of the agreement is the type of wood and finish. Then the piece is built from the ground up to meet the expectations of the client.
